| Totalitarianism masked as Liberal democracy? |
The Minister didn't stop there,
but she went on to say that Catholic teaching is misogynistic since girls, if they are following Church teaching, cannot choose to have an abortion. Since
when has she become the expert on Church teaching? In fact, It's Bill 13 that
discriminates against young women by telling them the lie of "pro-choice", that abortion is
the only option. So now Catholics schools will be
breaking the law whenever they promote pro-life issues. As reported by
LifeSiteNews, here's what Minister
Broten said, “We do not allow and we’re very clear
with the passage of Bill 13 that Catholic teachings cannot be taught in our
schools that violates human rights and which brings a lack of acceptance to
participation in schools.” It's all nonsense, uninformed, deceptive rantings.
She went on to say, “We must
ensure that women, young girls in our schools, especially highlighted during
the week of the first ever Day of the Girl tomorrow, that young girls can make
the choices that they make. This is not about being pro-abortion, it is about
being pro-choice.” It's interesting when you consider that there is no such thing as choice...because the only option offered is death. When was killing anything else but killing? You cannot hide the truth with the language of deception. Pro-choice and pro-abortion are both pro-death. Minister Broten has learned all too well how to speak and promote the culture of death.
We need to remind the minister that abortion
is not a human right, and secondly, Bill 13 contradicts Catholic teaching. For that reason, it should be repealed. Governments at both the provincial and
federal levels want to keep the status quo when it comes to the life issues because they are
afraid they don’t have the democratic support. Otherwise why are they so reluctant to better inform the public on the question of abortion and the over-sexaulization of children and then to let the citizens, the parents vote?
Minister Broten's comments in essence say that in Ontario Bill 13 does away with the freedom of religion, freedom of speech
and freedom of conscience. Is this what our parents and grandparents suffered and died for in the last world war, so that we could have a world where babies are torn apart and eventually any inconvenient or inferior people are murdered by law? We need to tell her we disagree. You can’t take freedoms away from people by passing bad laws. Bill 13 also violates parental rights.
Parents have the right, the duty and obligation to direct the moral education of their children.
We need to tell the minister we will not accept her misguided interpretation of Bill 13. Actually, we need to question the democratic basis of a law that was passed with little public consultation, information or media coverage. Christian/Catholic parents have a duty to protect their children from the machinations of a government bent on separating common sense from nonsense rantings. Let's pray and hope she too does the right thing and like Premier Dalton McGuinty, resigns. They and their Liberal Party have done enough moral damage to this province.

The Minister of Education for the Province of Ontario is a Christophobe. I too think that she should resign from the education porfolio for her Christophobic statements regarding not teaching pro life views in a Catholic school.
ReplyDeleteThe education minister's comments are proof positive that the abortion debate is far from over. I too agree that she should resign because she is a Christophobe. We must all pray that Christophobia ends in Ontario and across Canada.
ReplyDeleteHer name has been mentioned as a potential leadership candidate for the provincial liberals. Let's hope she looses both the leadership race if she enters it and also looses her own riding in the next provincial election which will probably be held in 2013.
