Last night a dinner was held at Canada Christian College to raise money to help pay for the legal cost of defending Mary Wagner's court case. Since August 2012, she has been in jail. And for what? For her constitutional right to counsel women who have decided to kill their babies from doing so. She wants to protect all unborn babies in Canada. In short, Mary Wagner is a true witness for life.

The evening's keynote speaker was her lawyer Charles Lugosi. According to Lugosi, Wagner's actions are supported Section 27 of the Criminal Code, that justifies the use of force in order to defend from assault another human being.

Gerard Mitchell a former judge on the Supreme Court of Canada in a letter written to a newspaper states that the 1988 decision in R. v.

On Saturday night, May 24, well over 200 people gathered at Canada Christian College to hold a fundraising dinner to defend parental rights. It was in September 2012 that Dr. Steve Tourloukis filed an Application against the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board asking for a court order that declares that as the parent of his children, he is the final authority over their education.

Here are the ten MORE reasons for not voting for Justin Trudeau and his Liberal Party in the next federal election:

1. Justin Trudeau's anti-life position that no Liberal candidate can be pro-life. One man should not tell an entire party and and the nation that a candidate cannot be against abortion. Is Canada no longer  a liberal democracy?

2. If all Liberal MPs are expected to vote pro-death on all bills, here's our question to Justin: why bother having an election? Justin's answer is no.

Last night the Catholic Civil Rights League had their annual dinner. The keynote speaker was Brian Lilley, a columnist and broadcaster with Sun News Media. The evening included the presentation of the Adam Exner Award for Catholic excellence in public life. This year's recepient was the president of Real Women of Canada Gwen Landolt.

The Adam Exner Award was instituted by the CCRL in honor of Archbishop Exner when he retired in 2004.

Regardless of what any law society says, if we want to establish a Christian law school  in Canada, we have the right to do so. We will attempt to defend this right today. The law societies of Ontario and Nova Scotia have voted against the idea of the right to establish a Christian law school. Manitoba wants to do the same thing. Their decision is a public statement that bars future graduates of Trinity Western University, TWU, from being recognized as lawyers.

We hope and pray that Catholic parishes and all Christians and non-believers alike read the letter by Toronto's Thomas Cardinal Collins to Justin Trudeau. The letter is in response to the Liberal leader proclaiming that no pro-life candidates may run for  the Liberal Party. This undemocratic position is unprecedented and is against the heart of what every Christian believes: the protection of life and the right and freedom to do so. Here's the letter in its entirety:

Dear Mr.

The leader of the Green Party of Ontario Mike Schreiner has suggested that we move away from having two publicly funded schools systems and have just one public system. He wants to bring an end to Catholic schools. This is not a new idea. However, Schreiner should stick to issues of the economy, jobs and the environment. His idea is wrong on so many fronts.

First of all, his suggestion would erase Canada’s Christian history. We are doomed if we completely forget our past.

Do you want to teach your children to learn how to count the sexes? Go to the Bible. Don't allow them to learn it from the sex education programs in our schools or the public square. They will get the wrong information. We hope we have your attention. Do you want a sex class that your children will not get in school? Read the rest of this blog entry.

The director of education and chair of the board of the Toronto Catholic District School Board issued a joint message during Catholic Education Week, May 5-9, for Respect for Life Week, May 11-16. We have some observations to make, but first here's the statement sent to all schools:

Let us say ‘Yes’ to life and not death.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
