The New York City Commission on Human Rights has released a new guideline on "gender identity" and "gender expression" that recognizes and forces others to accept 31 "genders." The document states: "It’s illegal to discriminate on the basis of gender identity and gender expression in the workplace, in public spaces, and in housing. The NYC Commission on Human Rights (NYCCHR) is committed to ensuring that transgender and gender non-conforming New Yorkers are treated with dignity and respect and without threat of discrimination or harassment."

In addition, the guideline says:

This means individuals have the "right" to: 1) Work and live free from discrimination and harassment due to their gender identity/expression.

Here's the first image that needs hardly any words to express America's deep (and the entire West) moral decay:

Here's the second image with a few more words that needs no comment about the deception in today's political leaders:

Back in December 2008, Loyola High School, the Jesuit institution,  took the Quebec Minister of Education to court asking for an exemption from the new mandated Ethics and Religious Culture (ERC) program. There was a court decision in support of Loyola in June 2010. The judgment was overturned by the Court of Appeal in December 2012. However, in March 2015, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled in favour of Loyola.

On the fourth day of Lent early Christians had a day to celebrate mothers. It was originally started to honour the Mother of Christ and later the celebration included all mothers. A great prayer that honors the the Virgin Mary is the "Consecration Prayer to Mary" by St. Louis de Montfort. It's a wonderful prayer for this Jubilee Year of Mercy and at any time in our lives in order to renew and to try to live with new zeal our baptismal promises to love Christ and reject Satan.

Knowing the legislated moral evils children are currently facing in Canada, I often think about what the future will be like for them and for future generations. What does an environment that permits and promotes the culture of death and relativism do to children's thinking? Canada has abortion on demand. The nation legislated "same-sex marrisge" in 2005. Our health care funds the intentional killing of the unborn through our taxes.

In today's Gospel reading we are reminded of the truth about marriage and human identity. Jesus tells us that God are created us "male and female." We should also not be afraid to speak of mothers and fathers and husbands and wives. Marriage is between a man and a woman and to divorce and marry someone else is adultery. God, not man, through marriage makes husband and wife one flesh. This language is direct, clear and unambiguous.

Here's how the Gospel of St.

Ontario's Health and Physical Education program was issued in 2015. Since its release, there have been numerous parental protests about the section that contains the new and controversial sex curriculum. It's being implemented this spring in all schools. Many parents believe that the curriculum is too radical, inappropriate and not based on science. Parents want teachers to teach the health and physical components because they're educationally sound but to leave out the explicit sex curriculum.

Today the Church celebrates the memorial of Our Lady of Fatima. The feast celebrates the six appearances of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three children in Portugal in 1917. Our Lady told the shepherd children to "Pray, pray very much. Make sacrifices for sinners. Many Souls go to hell, because no one is willing to help them with sacrifice." During one of her appearances she showed the children a terrifying vision of hell where there's only infinite pain and hopelessness.

The annual National March for Life 2016 edition was attended by well over 20,000 people. The theme for this year was to "End the Killing." It's sad that in a post-modern and rich country such as Canada we are still fighting for the right to life of the unborn. The state continues to pay for the killing of 280 babies a day. We intentionally end the lives of close to 100,000 preborn and innocent babies at a time when Canada is experiencing a demographic winter.

This past Saturday the Ave Maria Centre of Peace held its annual Marian Day of Prayer at Canada Christian College. The theme for the day was "The Name of God is Mercy." It's the title of Pope Francis' first book and echoes these words from the Gospel of Luke that teach us, “Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.” The day also celebrated this Jubilee Year of Mercy.

See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity; I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
