Push the sexualizing of students and what do we expect?

Teach the 2015 radical sex curriculum in Ontario schools and push the sexualizing of students and what do we promote? We are bound to get a greater chance that activist teachers are pushing sex and in too many cases even abusing students. Expose students to this aggressive and inappropriate content and we give young people a terrible example about proper behaviour and the respectful treatment of others.

Take the case of teacher Leonora Brown who worked with the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB). The school is not named for obvious reasons. Between January 1, 2015 and March 5, 2015 she is accused of professional misconduct in her classroom. Here is what is alleged to have occurred:

Canada to sadly legalize another evil

Canada has no restrictions on abortion. A person is not a human being until the baby is born. Last year the Justin Trudeau Liberal government legalized euthanasia and physician assisted-suicide. Abortion and euthanasia are both covered by Canada health care.

On July 1, 2018, Canada's birthday, the same Liberal government has promised to legalize marijuana. The provinces will be responsible for selling the drug.

Canada's government undermines the family

The Justin Trudeau Liberal government is doing its best to further weaken the family in Canada. Canadians pay to intentionally kill tens of thousands of unborn babies each year, all covered by the government health plan. There is plenty of money, to the tune of $650,000,000, to export abortion to the rest of the world. Since Canada legalized last year euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide, funds are there to have Canadians killed at the hands of the state.

Share Life 2017: we must not forget its roots

During Lent the archdiocese of Toronto has its the annual Share Life campaign. Catholic social services go back to the 1850s when the diocese was established. Helping those in need has always been a central part of the Catholic faith. But an important change took place in 1975 that resulted in the formation of Share Life. Here's a brief summary of that history:

"Inclusivity:" has never meant what most people think

Why are Christian schools in Alberta being forced to accept and promote homosexuality? Why must all Canadians conform to the what the LGBTQ community wants? In Alberta, David Eggen the minister of education is presently looking at ways to deal with an independent Christian school that has not supported homosexual programs for children.

In Ontario, there is Bill 13. The equivalent legislation in Alberta is Bill 10 that forces schools to establish gay/straight alliance clubs.

Motion 103 will set a terrible anti-democratic precedent in Canada

Will the Canadian Liberal government, come to its senses and listen to the will of the people when it comes to Motion 103, and vote against it? Or is the Justin Trudeau Liberal government going to just play politics, with Canadians and say yes to the motion, just to get future votes? The sad result, if this misguided and unnecessary motion passes, is that both Canada's freedom of speech and democracy itself will be greatly undermined.

Happy feast day of St. Joseph

On March 19, The Church celebrates the Solemnity of St. Joseph. In some countries, the day is appropriately when they celebrate Father's Day. In 1870, St. Joseph, was made by Pope Pius IX the patron of the Universal Church. He is also the patron saint of Canada.

Joseph was a good and holy man who descended for the house of David. He took Mary as his wife and loved her and the child Jesus as much as human love permits.

A 10 minute Lenten medidation that can last a lifetime

The March edition of the Magnificat, features an instructive quotation, for one of the reflections of the day, written by Luis Maria Martinez. He died in 1956 and was the archbishop of Mexico City. It's titled "Whoever Humbles Self." It comes from Martinez's book called, Worshipping a Hidden God, Unlocking the Secrets of the Hidden Life. It makes for a serious and short meditation that can guide our Lenten season as we prepare to celebrate Easter.

Silence and inaction permit evil to flourish

Political correctness continues to sweep Canada. The majority of Canadians are reacting with silence, acceptance and even indifference. Most Canadians are too afraid to speak out. For example, there is the misguided Islamophobic Motion 103 that restricts free speech is probably going to be passed in parliament. The same is true for Bill C-36, the gender expression and identity law, that will make it illegal to even question any of the dozens of gender identities based on feelings.

Msgr. Vincent Foy wasn't afraid to speak the truth

On March 13, the Catholic Church in Canada lost a courageous warrior in defence and promotion of the truth. Msgr. Vincent Foy died at the age of 101. He was a canon lawyer and served as a priest in the Archdiocese of Toronto for 78 years. He believed in the sanctity of life from birth to natural death. We were privileged to have been invited and did attend the festivities for his 101 birthday last August.
