Yesterday the pro-life movie Unplanned was released in the United States. It's a film based on the true story of Abbey Johnson who was employed by Planned Parenthood but eventually came to support the pro-life view. Get ready for the abortion activists and groups along with the liberal MSM to criticize and trash the movie. We won't. We need to support it.

The film narrative is about the work Abbey Johnson; she was the youngest person to ever be a clinic director for Planned Parenthood. Her job was to sell abortion. She also promoted the work of the organization in other communities and for that she was given the Planned Parenthood Employee of the Year Award.

The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace and Caritas Canada released a Statement today. With it, the bishops try to defend the Share Life campaign across Canada. They want to reassure the faithful that Share Life is true to Catholic teaching.

The Diocese of Hamilton is the latest to embark on a fund-raising campaign.

Ontario's radical sex-curriculum, according to the Minister of Education Lisa Thompson will not be repealed. This is a complete betrayal of parents who voted for the Doug Ford Conservative government based on his promise during the election to withdraw the inappropriate curriculum. Ford has reneged on what he said.

We have been reading The Crucifixion of Jesus: A Forensic Inquiry by Dr. Frederick Zugibe. The author was chief medical examiner and forensic pathologist for 35 years in Rockland, Pomona, NY.  About his work, he writes, covered, "some of the most complicated, puzzling, bizarre, and horrific cases.

We now know that Ontario's Doug Ford Conservative government has betrayed parents who oppose the radical sex-curriculum of 2015. These parents voted for him because he promised to repeal the inappropriate and abusive curriculum during the election. Sadly, the premier and the Minister of Education have done an about-face on the matter. Parents are shocked and are looking for ways to defend their rights to direct the education of their children.

This past weekend the Ave Maria Centre of Peace held a retreat day on the theme of the Passion of Christ. Much of the information presented was based on the research done on the Shroud of Turin. There were two speakers who have devoted many years of studying the Shroud and reflecting on its significance. Those in attendance got the science and the faith side of the story

The first speaker was Barrie Schwortz who was the official documenting photographer for the Shroud of Turin Project (STURP).

Cardinal Thomas Collins of the Archdiocese of Toronto has released a wonderful and practical Pastoral Letter for Lent. It's a reflection on the need during this time for prayer, fasting and almsgiving. The Cardinal also talks about the charitable work done through Share Life and the St. Vincet de Paul Society that operates in so many parishes in the diocese. Everyday for Life Canada shares the Lenten message with its readers.

The Christian Post reports that since January of this year more than 6,000 Christians mostly women and children have been killed in Nigeria. But the MSM is silent. The deaths are the result of conflict between Fulani Muslim herdsmen and local farmers who are mostly Christians. Just this passed weekend more than 200 Christians were massacred, but thr West hardly knows about this atrocity because the establishment media organizations don't cover the issue.

Ontario parents now know that little or nothing of substance will change from the radical sex-curriculum implemented by the Liberal Kathleen Wynne government in 2015.

The news was announced by the Minister of Education Lisa Thompson at a press conference last week. This is a complete betrayal of the promise made during the election that the sex-curriculum would be withdrawn and replaced.

See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity; I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
