The recent arrest of Toronto Pastor David Lynn, a street preacher who was charged with disturbing the peace at Church and Wellesley streets is the latest sign of discrimination against Christians. Lynn was just sharing the Gospel message to others when he was arrested and taken to jail. Now, out on bail, but he has to go to court to defend his freedom of speech and religion. Last year the Liberal Justin Trudeau government denied federal funds to employers who did not state that they supported abortion and contraception. How's that for building a more inclusive and diverse society? Most of the applicants rejected were from Christians. How is this not and injustice and outright discrimination? Christians too, the last time we checked, pay taxes.

Readers may know that Pastor David Lynn, a Toronto Christian street preacher was recently arrested and charged with disturbing the peace at Church and Wellesley streets. He is presently out on bail, and will appear in court on July 10, 2019. His crime? He was sharing the Gospel to people on a public sidewalk. According to one report, police got a complaint that Lynn's preaching had attracted a large crowd.

What's "the best book to read to your kids?" From a recent Prager U video, you may be surprised by the answer. It's the Bible. Sorry for giving it away but the video message needs a short introduction.

Up until modern times both people of faith and atheists read the Bible.  It was considered part of being educated. Why? Because it's difficult to understand the great literature, art, music, architecture and sculpture of the past without having some rudimentary knowledge of the Bible.

Did you know that there was a Proclamation issued by Toronto Mayor John Tory for Pride Month 2019? Do you think there was a similar Proclamation released for the Toronto March for Life? Of course not. Here's the wording of the LGBTQ2S+ Proclamation:

WHEREAS Pride Month in Toronto is the largest Pride celebration in North America and is one of the country’s top arts and cultural festivals showcasing diversity, inclusion and creativity.

"This Pride, let’s celebrate shame" is the title of an article by a gay writer Chadwick Moore critical of Pride events. It's appropriately subtitled, "Few gay men are proud to have surrendered their movement to a hostile takeover by Democrats, corporations, Marxists, and racial identitarians." His argument is that Pride month is nothing more than the celebration of shame.

This Sunday we celebrate Corpus Christi, the Most Holy and Blood of Christ. J. R. R. Tolkien said about the Eucharist, this historical transforming event: "Out of the darkness of my life, so much frustrated, I put before you the one great thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament. ...

A child pornography ring operating in Toronto was busted this week by Toronto police. The computer servers were housed in a building in North York. It's frightening to think that families live in a neighbourhood while this evil and demonic activity was routinely taking place. The worldwide Internet service made hard core child pornography available to customers for a fee.

A recent ruling by the Ontario Court of Appeals shuts out doctors who wish to exercise their right to freedom of conscience. If a doctor is Christian or has values that do not include supporting euthanasia, their now excluded from practicing in Ontario. In short, find another job.

Doctors went to court to simply protect their right not to participate in euthanasia. The main argument made by their legal team was this:

... religion is central to their lives.

The American Supreme Court just days ago by 7-2 ruled that the "Peace Cross," a World War I memorial in Bladensburg, Maryland, can remain in the public square. The American Humanist Society wanted the cross to be removed because the symbol represents religious belief for some and excludes others. The case is known as the American Legion v. American Humanist Association.

This same atheist group is also in court to have the World War II cross monument in Pensacola, Florida taken down.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
