There is now another reason why Canada's state broadcaster, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, (CBC) should stop receiving taxpayer funding of over 1.5 billion dollars every year. It's their production of a "Drag Kids" documentary. Children dress in "drag" and entertain adult audiences. The kids featured in the documentary are aged 9 to 12. How can a child of this age make sensible decisions about dressing in "drag" and wanting to provocatively dance in front of crowds, often at Pride events? These children are being exploited with the support of the CBC and all paid by Canada's taxpayers.

This child abuse is not only morally dangerous, but it's also illegal.

Did you know that the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association (OCSTA) has launched an advertising campaign using the hashtag #CatholicParentsVoice? They want parents to provide testimonials on just how good Catholic education is in Ontario. The trustees association wants to showcase Catholic education. Let them.

Here are two letters we sent to the editor of The Catholic Register that were not published. So, we post them on Everyday for Life Canada. We can only conclude that the content of the letters isn't politically correct. Here are the two letters:

Sent July 7, 2019

Dear Editor,

The Catholic Register July 14-21, reports that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised Ahmadiyya Muslims at a religious event in Mississauga that he will defend religious liberty.

Last Sunday the priest's homily made reference to Steven Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. It was first published in 1989. The book is aimed at the business person who wants to set goals in order to get better business and personal results. Covey expressed his formula for personal success as a ratio of P/PC, where P stands for achieving the established goals and PC for caring for the desired results.

In 2012, Gavin Hubbard was the Executive Officer for Olympic Weightlifting New Zealand. No problem here. However, he later transgendered to a "female" and became "Laurel" Hubbard. Just change the name and one goes from being a male to a female. In fact, there was even a court order banning the publication of his biological name. This where the problem begins.

Gavin could become the first man to win an Olympic Gold medal for weightlifting in the women's competition.

An article by the Executive Director Vicki Gunn of the Christian Heritage Party and posted on their website, may just be the best political message you will hear during Canada's federal election. The article is a call to reflect and get involved in this upcoming election. The voting will take place on October 21, 2019.

Today we post the Gospel reading and the meditation of the day from the Magnificat for July 24th, 2019. On this worldly pilgrimage to save our souls the readings are especially appropriate and helpful in living the Christian life. We hope you agree.

Here's the Gospel from St. Matthew 13: 1-9:

On that day, Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea.

Such large crowds gathered around him

that he got into a boat and sat down,

and the whole crowd stood along the shore.

It's great to see the Diocese of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, help to promote the movie Unplanned. The Right to Life Association (PEI) has organized a number of screenings in various locations from August 4-13. The good news comes from Catholic Canada.

Unplanned is a pro-life movie about Amy Johnson. She was a young woman managing an abortion clinic for Planned Parenthood who a had a change of heart.

Real Women of Canada (RWC) recently issued a press release that the mainstream media didn't cover. Why? Because the message isn't politically correct. The Justin Trudeau Liberals want to make sure with their $600 million slush fund the media knows where their bread is buttered. Yes, money talks best, but in this case it silences just as well. The Liberal government's trend to censor is worrisome given the fact that 2019 is a federal election year.

Why have today's big corporations become sexual activists? Take the big Canadian banks. At one time, they were simply involved in giving customers good and trustworthy banking services: mortgages, investments, estate planning, safe deposit boxes and banking accounts. Not anymore.

See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity; I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
