The Nuremberg Code is an important piece history, especially when it comes to ethics in medical research. The Code was written nearly 75 years ago, in August 1947, in Nuremberg, Germany. American judges had to decide whether experiments done by Nazi doctors on prisoners in the concentration camps were essentially crimes against humanity. Many of the experiments were carried out without consent, and amounted to murder and torture. The Code puts ethical limits on what doctors can do and the kind of experiments that should never done to human beings. It's a moral guide as to what kind of medical research can be done.

One can make a solid argument that mandating, coercing and paying people to take the Covid-19 vaccines contravenes the principles of the Nuremberg Code.

As governments, at all levels, continue to push to have more people vaccinated, we post the Fact Sheet from the Pfizer-BioNTech website regarding their Covid-19 vaccine. Do take the time to read it.

Yesterday, Toronto Catholic District School Board teachers and parents got what can only be interpreted as a threatening Covid-19 vaccination message from the Toronto Public Health. It's addressed to: "TCDSB Families," but it concerns students. The TPH could not send out an email to board teachers and parents unless the TPH had permission from administrators at the TCDSB.

In this post, we will look at some life-long language skills that parents should make sure their children learn. It's a lesson that students will most likely not to get in the classroom. It's about language, thought and behaviour. Language shapes thought and action.

1. It's a complex and difficult process to use language accurately to describe the world around us and ourselves. But thinking is connected to language.

Today we post George Herbert's poem "Peace," an allegorical (a story within a story) religious poem about the life of Christ. The poem tells the story by personifying "Peace" who is in search of the poem's title. It was published in 1633. It's the central quest every pilgrim faces on this earthly voyage in search of truth and redemption from sin and death.

The poem is a great reminder of Christ's teaching found in John 15:5: “I am the vine; you are the branches.

In 1919, Irish poet William Butler Yates wrote the dark poem, "The Second Coming." The title refers to the "Second Coming" of Christ after his ascension into heaven over two thousand years ago. However, Yates uses it to refer to the Antichrist, the Spiritus Mundi. The poem describes a time of upheaval when human beings have been taken over by a worldly spirit of anarchy and destruction. It was published just after the horrors of World War I.

We can only wonder what Yates would write today.

Toronto council has spent (not their money of course but the tax payer) over $6 million to rename Dundas Street. It's so politically correct for the woke today to be seen as being anti-colonial and anti-white Supremacy. Seventeen councillors and Mayor John Tory who probably know little or nothing about about Henry Dundas, the man whose last name marks a major Toronto street, were prepared to conclude that he was a racist who hated black and Indigenous communities.

The Ontario government provides curriculum and resources for classroom teachers. Sadly, they're also pushing critical race theory and equity and inclusion across the curriculum. Even subjects like mathematics are no immune from social justice.

We have spent decades, both in Canada and the United States, teaching students about anti-bullying, racial equality and building welcoming school learning environments. Fast forward to the present, and we have in classrooms across North America with corrupt Critical Race Theory based on prejudice and lies.

In the short video, we post today, we see a professor at Penn State comparing black to white students. He does everything that was supposed to be wrong just years ago. He insults the class.

PM Justin Trudeau will call a federal election soon. Here's our message to Catholics: you can't be Catholic in Canada and support the Liberal Party. Trudeau himself is no more Catholic than the American President Joe Biden or speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi. They're Catholic in name only. The Liberal Party has proudly defined itself through legislation passed and policies to be anti-Christian.

See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity; I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
