Yes, words matter and Christians are slowing losing their vocabulary. An aggressive legislated and policy driven secularism, in the West, continues to push any Christian thinking from the public square. And without a vocabulary believers can no longer think, define themselves and act on faith matters.

Case in point. The Associated Press Style, APS, book has been updated to make it politically correct when it comes to transgender reporting. Biblical language is out and the lgbtq language is to be preferred. Christian thinking must be rejected since it contradicts the lgbtq ideology which pushes transgenderism.

This is no small matter because language shapes thought and in turn thought shapes human action.

(The above drawing in this post is by the Canadian painter and illustrator C. W. Jefferys and called: The Martyrdom of Fathers de Brebeuf and Lalemant.)

Canadians have heard nothing in the MSM about the Canadian martyrs, also called the North America Martyrs, during the papal visit to Canada by Pope Francis. Even the pope has avoided any reference to this important part of Church and Canadian history. That history no longer has a place in our woke and politically correct culture.

Today, nearly everything has to be seen through the lens of the lgbtq agenda. Even history is being revised to make it politically correct. After a recent visit to Green Gables Heritage House, Heather Ann Cooke wrote an insightful letter to Parks Canada asking for an explanation. She has posted the message online.

So, even Canada's Green Gables is not immune to lgbtq propaganda.

Pope Francis can add little to the evangelical statement made to the Indigenous people of Canada by John Paul II, in 1987. He delivered his message at Fr. Simpson, Canada, during his apostolic journey to the United States of America and Canada. We must not forget the past and pretend that every solution can be found by distancing ourselves from what happened. It's too easy to blame those who are no longer alive for the wrongs which took place.

We all know that Pope Francis will soon be in Canada on his "pilgrimage of penance." He will apologize to the Indigenous communities for the abuse suffered by the children who attended residential schools. Many of the schools were funded by the Canadian government and run by Catholic religious orders and other faith organizations.

But a little history is in order. The Canadian Martyrs were eight Jesuit missionaries stationed at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons.

Parents cannot trust the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) with many of the lgbtq sexual resources they provide for children and adults. Currently their website has an online link for young people to talk about sex, polyamorous relationships, the occult and sex change operations. The site can be quickly hidden from parents.

Why another apology about Canada's residential schools from Pope Francis? After all, there is no new real evidence that anything terrible happened because of the graves. It's been mostly media hype and distortion. Anything to make the Catholic Church look bad.

We should keep in mind that the residential schools program was sponsored by the Canadian government. The presence of graves alone is not proof that abuse took place.

On July 14th Health Canada released this statement which says that the Covid-19 "vaccine" has been approved for children from 6 months to 5 years. In their words:

Today, Health Canada authorized the use of the Moderna Spikevax Covid-19 vaccine in children 6 months to 5 years of age. This is the first Covid-19 vaccine authorized in Canada for use in this age group and marks a milestone in Canada’s response to Covid-19.

To mark the 75th birthday of Cardinal Thomas Collins a book titled, For Love of the Church has been published by Novalis. It costs $47.95. It's described as "A Festschrift on the interests and accomplishments of His Eminence Cardinal Thomas Collins." The book, "celebrates the life, teachings, and achievements of Cardinal Collins to create a ‘Catholic culture’ actively engaged with the signs of the times.

Toronto Catholic District School Board parents have you read the glowing recommendation given to departing superintendent of equity Derek Chen by director Brendan Browne? You say you don't know who these people are. Parents may not know Chen and Browne but these are the people at the top directing your children's education.

See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity; I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
