Reading and reflecting on the Epistle of St. Paul to the Romans Chapter 8 is a good way to do a brief Lenten retreat. It can be a private meditation at home or in front of the Blessed Sacrament. It's not a long chapter but it contains the key to living the Christian life with the hope of saving our souls.

St. Paul knows the flesh is very weak, but temptation and sin can be fought with the help of the Holy Spirit. We have have joined the mystical body of Christ through baptism, and so we can seek help from the Holy Spirit.

In his Epistle St. Paul urges us to battle hard against sin, and make no room for evil to enter our lives. The Holy Spirit can give us the strength to live a holy life. The Holy Spirit comes to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Open Letter to the University of Toronto About Giving Day

We just received in the mail information about the University of Toronto's Giving Day on March 2024. They are thrilled to announce the second annual Giving Day. The fundraising campaign is to get supporters to donate money "to make the world a better place through collective giving." Donors can even "double the impact" by giving and all donations will be doubled that day to a maximum of $1000.

Last November, 2slgbtqi+ activist Fr. James Martin spoke on Zoom at an event held by the Toronto Catholic District School Board. It was a Board effort to help the 2slgbtqi+ students. Martin didn't talk to teachers, principals, board administrators and chaplains, about Catholic teaching regarding the person, human sexuality, marriage and family. No, he was there to promote and normalize numerous sexual orientations, including homosexuality, gender identity and gender expression.

(The image above is the painting of the Temptation of Christ by Juan de Flandes.) This is the season of Lent. Christ fasted for forty days in the desert.  He is tempted. He begins to preach, to call disciples to him, and to work miracles. From the St. Matthew's Gospel, Chapter 4, 1-11:

Then Jesus was led by the spirit into the desert, to be tempted by the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterwards he was hungry.

The film "The War On Children" by Robby Starbuck is a must see documentary for parents. It's about the undeclared ongoing sexual war on children today. There are dark forces that want to control, profit and exploit the next generation. The war uses no actual weapons but aims to sexually colonize the innocent mind through manipulation, social media, hormonal drugs, pornography and even surgery. Parents need to be vigilant.

Just when you think the situation can't get worse in Canada, it does. To even question gender identity now is to risk being identified as a serious threat to carry out "extreme violence." Gender identity is chosen at will, but the violent extremist designation could soon be assigned to many Canadians by the strong policing arm of the government.

Canadians must not question the government approved residential schools mass graves narrative.  It was “genocide.” End of story. Those that suggest otherwise, risk being fined, lose their job, asked to apologize, censored, and told not to run for an elected office. You're put in the "Basket of deplorables."

B.C. trustee Barry Neufeld knows all about it after expressing his view about sexual orientation and gerber identity curriculum.

A teacher union representative for the Limestone District School Board (LDSB) sent out an email to members that reveals just how woke and out of control public education is in Ontario. It's a complete disaster.

John Vince is a member of the Ontario Secondary Teachers Federation (OSSTF). He's also the negotiator for Limestone District 27 which is local teacher union unit for the Kingston-area Limestone District School Board.

A private member's Bill C-367, An Act to amend the Criminal Code, (promotion of hatred or antisemitism), has been tabled by Quebec Bloc MP Yves-Francois Blanchet. The legislation could make defending the Bible hate speech. Remember that PM Justin Trudeau keeps reminding Canadians that the nation is built on DIE, diversity, inclusion and equity.

Just one bishop in Canada has had the courage and good sense to question the mass graves claim about the residential schools. He is retired bishop Fred Henry of Calgary. In a letter to the Catholic Register, he writes:

Anna Farrow rightly points in her Jan. 21 story “Media buy-in drove graves social panic” to the preface of Chris Champion and Tom Flanagan’s book Grave Error.

See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity; I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
