The Toronto Catholic District School Board staff and trustees have been encouraged to attend the 2024 pride parade held this weekend here in Toronto. The invitation comes from the director himself Brendan Browne. The Board has been celebrating "pride month" since 2021.

In his message, the director tries to explain that it's teacher unions, at the local and provincial levels, that have invited senior staff to join the pride parade. He's merely relaying the message. What the director omits to say to trustees and the staff is that the TCSDB's Indigenous Education, Equity and Community Relations Department had already made the decision to attend the parade back in March 24. So, Browne isn't telling the whole story.

Forty Canadian professors have joined together to call on the Parliament of Canada to end the DIE, diversity, inclusion and equity, mandates. Officially the acronym is EDI or DEI, but it’s more appropriate to refer to the progressive strategy as DIE. The pro-lgbtq and inclusion policies are creating more harm than good. The professors are telling the Justin Trudeau Liberal government that DIE is ineffective and dividing Canadians.

Today's Gospel reading brought back great memories of the World Youth Day held in Toronto in 2002.

Form Matthew 7:21-29, we read:

"Not every one who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

This post comes from a report by Adam Soos for Rebel News titled: "Dr. James Lindsay on radical gender ideology and the social credit mafia." Parents do what ever you can, to make sure this toxic ideology isn't in your local public school. You can no longer trust the administration at the school or board level to do what is right and responsible for the health and safety of children.

Returning to Alberta, Dr.

Life is the only choice. God teaches us so, "I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live," (Deuteronomy 30:19).

Sadly, our post-modern governments have now become death peddlers. It's an aggressive secular world. Death and sin are big business.

A Toronto Catholic District School Board former student trustee filed a disciplinary complaint against Trustee Michael Del Grande with the Board. Del Grande has never taught a day in life but does have a teaching licence. The proceedings are all part of punishing Del Grande for making comments challenging the Board's Code of Conduct. He also dared to tell the student trustee who launched the complaint that Catholic teaching is against abortion.

There a books and then there are books. But there is a little known Canadian treasure that has sadly gone pretty much unnoticed. Not counting the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and texts about the lives of the saints, we think this is an important book to read and study. And believe it or not it was written, over 62 years ago, by a Canadian author and professor of literature at the University of Toronto.

The book is titled The Educated Imagination by Northrop Frye.

From a Rebel News report:

Toronto police and Canada's left-wing circus come to censor Rebel News

In front of me, Toronto City Hall. Behind me, a billboard truck, whose ads have raised the ire of the censorious left. By Ezra Levant

In front of me, Toronto City Hall. Behind me, a billboard truck.  On it are messages paid by a third party advertiser. Canadians opposed to the occupation of our streets and campuses.

Both the war in Ukraine against Russia and Israeli–Palestinian war fail to meet the conditions of a just war found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Here are the four main conditions: "1. a war must be declared by lawful authority; 2. there must be a just cause, a serious grievance, for going to war; 3. there must be the right intention, such as true self-defence, not mere vengeance; 4.

Presently, there is sadly a great need to recite the Prayer to St. Michael. The evil forces are everywhere. So we need to pray to Our Lord for deliverance. Let's pray the long version. Here's the story behind the prayer and the complete version.

One day, after celebrating Mass, the aged Pope Leo XIII was in conference with the Cardinals when suddenly he sank to the floor in a deep swoon. Physicians who hastened to his side could find no trace of his pulse and feared that he had expired.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
