"Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars"

Recently from a blogger, we read about a document supposedly found in 1986 called, "Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars – Operations Research Technical Manual TM-SW7905.1" The subtitle, An Introduction Programming Manual. It maps out a plan on how to control the people of the entire world. How? By manipulating the media, education, banking, government and politics. It's nothing short of social engineering. The author(s) is not known. Even Amazon sells copies. The story is that it was found by accident by an employee of the Boeing Aircraft Company.

We are not in the business of posting content about conspiracy theories. Today's reality is bad enough. However, one can read the Manuel and come to their own conclusion.

If the Vatican aims to promote the value of Latin, then let's have the Latin Mass

The Vatican Pontifical Academia Latinitatis was established in 2012 to promote the historical value and appreciation of the Latin language and culture. Pope Francis recently released a statement to the prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education, Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, to congratulate him as the “Pontifical Academies 2023” Award had been given to the Pontifical Academy Latinitatis.

"Journey With the Saints"

Many of us know about Gretchen Whitmer the governor of Michigan participating in a video sketch where she feeds a person a Dorito chip on the tongue. All done to promote a law (the CHIPS Act) pushing the production of semiconductors. So, why not insult Catholics by mocking the Eucharist to push an idea. It's all part of the ugly world of today's politics. And Catholics have become an easy target. She later apologized.

We must live in the here and now

As Catholics, we ought to live in the here and now. The past is gone and cannot be changed. The future isn't here and may never come. We cannot change the past nor know the future. All we have for sure is the present moment.

Here's the mediation of the day form the Magnificat on how to "Interpret the Present Time.” It's written by Servant of God Chiara Lubich. She was the founder and president of the Focolare movement. She died in 2008.

Last night was a good night for life

Last night we attended the St. Joseph’s Centre of Hope for Women’s Gala Dinner. The theme for the inaugural event appropriately was “Life is Beautiful.” The Centre’s mission is to turn the hearts of pregnant mothers and others who support abortion and let them know that there is a much better solution: the welcoming and celebration of the gift of life. To do this, the Centre provides the material help and counselling women need to save unborn lives.

Catholic voting guide for the American Presidential Election 2024

We post the Open Letter to Catholics by Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano as the 2024 presidential election gets closer. Americans vote on November 5th. The Letter's message in many ways applies just as much to Canadians for they too will soon vote for a new federal government and prime minister. The governing Liberals are so much like the Democratic Party in the United States. They now stand and aggressively promote an atheistic culture of death.

A reason why you may not have even heard of this book is because the secular media sees the killing of the unborn as a settled issue.

Nunc dimittis

Yesterday, we celebrated the Feast of St. Luke. He authored the Gospel with his name and the Acts of the Apostles. In the Liturgy of the Hours there are three beautiful Canticles (hymns) from St. Luke's Gospel, the Canticle of Zechariah, the Magnificat and Simeon's Nunc dimittis. The last one is recited during evening prayers.

Letter to Diognetus: a great defence of the faith

The Epistle or Letter to Diognetus is an old Christian document that goes back to the second century. The message is addressed in Greek to Diognetus. However, the identity of the author nor of Diognetus is known for certain. Nevertheless the letter is a powerful defence of Christian belief. What is also of interest is that the content is still very relevant today. It is news that has remained news.

Transfige, Prayer of St. Bonaventure

St. Bonaventure is a Doctor of the Church. He was born in Italy in 1221. He was a great teacher and preacher of the Gospel. He knew St. Thomas Aquinas. Bonaventure thought that God's grace was much more important than reason in establishing a strong human connection to God. In his Prayer Transfige, he tries to sum up the meaning and his love of the Eucharist. Here's the Prayer and may it help us to have a better and more ardent relationship with God.
