Ontarians on February 27 are going to vote for a new provincial government. Premier Doug Ford has called an election because he claims he needs a mandate. This is to push against the proposed 25% tariffs that Donald Trump has threatened to impose on Canadian products. Trump even suggested that Canada become the 51st state. As he launched hid bid for another term, Ford was wearing a cap with this message: "Canada is not for Sale." It's funny that it took Trump for politicians at every level of government to discover Canada. Now, they all want to defend Canada, and stand up to the "bully."
Up until yesterday, Canada was such a terrible country. Canada is populated with colonizers. Canada is systematically racist. Canada has committed genocide. Canada is built on stolen land. Canada is a fallen country and in need of progressive redemption from the left. The nation must believe the woke religion of DIE, diversity, inclusion and equity. Forget the Canadian and territorial flags, we must fly the pride flag everywhere. We must recognize and celebrate all the sexual letters of alphabet.
So, when politicians like Ford and others, like Mark Carney and Chrystia Freeland, who are running to become the new leader of the Liberal party say they are standing up for Canada, what are they really defending? A Canada that Justin Trudeau claims is no longer a nation? Are we backing the freedom to give children puberty blockers and surgeries to mutilate their bodies? Are we blessing the fake liberty to abort unborn children and euthanize Canadians for any reason whatsoever? Or are they just standing for their privileged jobs? These are people who have called Canadians colonizers, thieves, racists and guilty of genocide.
Sorry, but to all these politicians, their lament for Canada rings hollow. If Ford really wanted to defend Canada, he would have started by scrapping the DIE policy in every government institution, especially public schools. Set an example for the corporate world to follow. Instead, he has allowed the harmful agenda to make its way into Ontario classrooms through bad and divisive laws and policies. We are all Canadians, are we not?
Want to stand for Canada? Start by telling the truth. Canada is not a racist country. People in the past did not purposefully come to Canada to oppress others. This would make the martyrs colonizers. Canadians like PM Sir John A. Macdonald and educator Egerton Ryerson are not guilty of cultural genocide. We cannot change history. What we can do is aim to do better in the future.
Want to build and defend Canada? Start by defining what it means to be a nation. Support the nuclear family which is the building block of any strong country. Be proud of the Canadian flag and the national anthem. Defend, at every stage, the life of every Canadian. Teach children in schools the history and geography of Canada. Yes, celebrate our Christian past that helped to build schools, hospitals and define who we are. Yes, celebrate Indigenous history which has shaped Canada and continues to do so. And we must not remove God from the nation. We are all Canadians, are we not?
